The company also generates and distributes electricity. It has a total generation capacity of approximately 2,619 megawatts that utilize gas, coal, water, solar, and waste to energy. The company was formerly known as Hemaraj Clean Water Company Limited and changed its name to WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited in August 2016. The company was incorporated in 2008 and is headquartered in Samut Prakarn, Thailand. WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited is a subsidiary of WHA Industrial Development Public Company Limited.
