Risk Disclaimer

In force from August 11, 2026. Version 2026-08-11, the same version string recorded against your account when you accepted it.

One page, no hedging. It is linked from every surface that shows a security, and it is the page to read before you rely on anything in the product.

The short form: we publish research, you make decisions, and you check our numbers against the filings before you act on them.

1This is research, not advice

ValueMarkers is a research tool. Nothing in it is investment, financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation, an offer, or a solicitation to buy, sell or hold any security or other financial instrument.

Every figure, score, ranking, valuation, screen and alert in the product is information for your own research. None of it takes account of your objectives, your circumstances, your tax position, your other holdings or your tolerance for loss, because the product does not know them.

2We are not your adviser

Attitude Ventures LLC, a limited liability company formed in Delaware, United States, operates this service. It is not a registered investment adviser, a broker-dealer, a bank, a fund manager, an accountancy firm or a tax adviser, in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom or anywhere else. It holds no client assets, executes no orders and exercises no discretion over any account.

Using this service creates no advisory, fiduciary or agency relationship between you and us.

3Every decision is yours

You decide what to buy, what to sell and what to hold, and you carry the outcome. Investing involves risk, including the total loss of the amount invested. Prices fall as well as rise. Currency movements can turn a gain into a loss. Companies restate results, cut dividends, breach covenants and fail, sometimes with no warning in any dataset.

If you want advice about your own situation, take it from someone licensed to give it in your country, who knows your circumstances and is accountable for what they tell you.

4The data has limits, and they are specific

  • It is third-party data. Company financials come from the accounts each company files; prices come from market data sources. We do not audit any of it and we did not produce it.
  • It can be stale. The product prints the age of the market data and the time of the last computation as two separate facts, because recomputing an indicator does not make a quote fresh. Read both dates before you use a number.
  • Coverage varies by company, and the service covers companies listed in the United States only. A company being searchable here is not a promise that we hold its financial statements, still less ten years of them. The product tells you what it holds for the company in front of you. Do not infer depth from the size of the universe.
  • It can be wrong. Values can be missing, misclassified, reported in an unexpected currency, or restated by the company after the fact. A restatement can break a guardrail or move a score months later.
  • Where a figure is missing we say so rather than printing a zero, and where a ratio is not meaningful we say that instead of a number. An honest gap is still a gap: it is not evidence of anything about the company.

5The models are tools, not truth

A score is a percentile rank against the companies we cover, produced by a published formula with weights we chose. Change the weights, the peer group or the period and the ranking moves. It is a way of sorting a list, not a verdict on a business.

A fair value from the valuation workbench is arithmetic performed on assumptions you entered. Growth rates, margins, discount rates and terminal values are guesses about the future, and a two-stage model is exquisitely sensitive to them. The output tells you what your own assumptions imply. It does not tell you they are right.

Forensic scores, distress models and quality composites were built on particular populations in particular decades. They flag patterns worth investigating. They do not diagnose fraud, predict bankruptcy or certify soundness.

6Verify against the primary filing

Before you act on any figure from this product, check it against the company’s own audited filing.

The product is built to make that easy: every number opens to show its formula, its inputs, the statement it came from, the fiscal period and the filing date. Checking the work is your responsibility, not an optional extra. If a figure looks wrong, tell us through the report link on the page or at hello@valuemarkers.com, and we will look at it.

7What an alert is, and is not

An alert says that a numeric condition you defined has stopped holding in the data we hold. That is all it says. It is not a rating change, a signal, or an instruction to sell. It is not a promise of timeliness either: checks run on a schedule and depend on new data arriving, so an alert can only ever be as prompt as the data behind it. If a figure needed for a check is missing, nothing fires, because a gap in a pipeline is not evidence about a company.

Silence is not a statement that all is well. It means no guardrail you wrote down was broken in the data we had.

8Past performance, and the absence of promises

Past performance of any security, indicator, score, screen or strategy is no guarantee of future results.

We make no claim, projection or promise about returns, and we publish no track record for any score or screen. Any historical figure in the product is a record of what happened, shown so you can study it. It is not a forecast, a simulation of what you would have earned, or a suggestion that a pattern will repeat.

9Where you are matters

The service is offered from the United States and is not directed at any person in any jurisdiction where offering or using it would be unlawful, or would require us to be registered or licensed. Whether you may lawfully use a research tool of this kind, and what you must do before publishing or acting on anything you take from it, depends on where you live and where you invest. That is your responsibility to establish.

If you republish figures or analysis from the product, rules on investment research and investment recommendations may apply to you. They are not our rules to satisfy on your behalf, and the terms do not permit redistribution in any case.

Nothing here excludes a liability or a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. The full allocation of risk is in the terms of service.
